1968, a VERY good year !!

This was my Susan as a perfectly lovely bride back in 1968,
when we were married,
she is with her father, Alf, who we miss terribly.
He was a lovely man:
A scholar, a gentleman and a fine judge of beautiful women !!!!!

Snow after shoveling

Snow!! Not so picturesque after it has been cleared.
Every homeowner here has to clear the pavements in front of the house
within 24 hours of the snow falling.
This is what it looks like after a LOT of shoveling
(the snow blower broke down, of course, the day before the snow came down).
I must admit I didn't shovel any of it. Ryan and Alan did the all the hard work.

Toys !!

All the toys that Maggie got for Christmas
and what does she do?
Spends hours building things with paper cups.

Let them eat cake?

Maggie and the boys made me a Birthday cake.
They insisted on a 3 layer cake.
It was chocolate with, supposedly, a green chocolate fondant layer.
They couldn't get the fondant to go on the cake properly so they rolled it into balls
and stuck them on the outside !!
Not the prettiest cake in the world but still my
BEST Birthday cake ever.
