Prairie dog village at the Devils Tower. This covered a huge area.
Home to thousands of prairie dogs that look cute, but signs warned tourists not to attempt to feed them as they bite and carry diseases (nice!).

Devils Tower, Wyoming. Remember Close Encounters of the Third Kind?
Sacred to the Indians it was known as Bear Tower (or Bear Butte, or Bear Mountain, lots of "Bear" names) until renamed and made into America's first ever National Monument.
