Buffalo in Custer State Park. There is a herd of around 1600 here.

Inside the Crazy Horse Memorial museum.
The bronze statue was of a sioux warrior singing his Death Song.
I don't know why the buffalo was multi-coloured but we saw quite a few like this around the area.

The bottom picture shows what they intend to carve out of the mountain. Mind you, this project has been on since the 1940's and this is as far as they've got so I don't know that they'll ever finish it.
Wayne was incensed that it only cost us $10 for MT. Rushmore (4 presidents) but $27 for Crazy Horse Memorial (1 Indian).

We took a side road, following a sign to a place called Rocheford.
This scenery was typical of the Black Hills foothills.
When we got to Rocheford there was an old store, a bar, a church and a sign that read:
